Today's recipe is the very popular Paneer Butter Masala.
Ingredients
- Paneer - 500 gms
- Butter - 5 tbsp.
- Oil- 1 tsp
- Bay leaves -2
- Cloves -2
- Onion Sliced - 1 medium
- Ginger Paste - 2 tsp
- Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Tomato chopped - 5-6medium
- Salt - to taste
- Kasoori Methi crushed- 1/2 tsp
- Fresh cream - 2 tbsp.
How to cook
- Heat three tablespoon of butter with one teaspoon of oil in a kadai. Then add bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon. Sauté it for one minute.
- Add onion and stir fry for one minute and then add ginger- garlic paste and saute for another 1 minute. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder and tomatoes.
- Cook on high flame till oil leaves the masala. Puree the mixture.
- Heat the two tablespoon of butter and add the pureed mixture. Then add 1/2- 3/4 cups of water and paneer cubes to the pureed mixture.
- Cover the kadai with a lid and cook on low flame for another five minutes.
- Add kasoori methi and mix well.
- Remove it from heat and add fresh cream and mix it well.
- Remove to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve warm with naan/chapathi/roti.
